The management of the Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), has approved the appointment of 23 new Local Government Education Area (LGEA) Education Secretaries in the State. ….launches 33 tractors, N380m credit facility for farmers The Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia at the weekend stepped up his government’s intervention efforts in the agriculture sector with the hope of reviving farming activities to guarantee food security. Governor Alia commissioned 33 new Tractors and disbursed N380mollion (about $250million) cheques to community interest groups to undertake climate smart agricultural activities in the state. Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia has officially subscribed to the United Nations Volunteers Programme (UNV), as a bold step to express his commitment to youth empowerment and helping to create for them, more access to leadership opportunities. Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, has announced that his government will before the end of May this year, establish a State-Owned security outfit comprising 10,000 youths, to be deployed across the State to help tackle rising insecurity, that has displaced hundreds of farmers with property worth millions of naira, destroyed.
