The executive chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Dr. Zacch Adedeji on Wednesday continued his series of engagements with stakeholders local and foreign towards regaining confidence levels and trust in the operations of the tax agency for significant improvement in tax collection for the country.
Dr. Adedeji met with the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, Khalil Suleiman Halilu in Abuja where critical issues of mutual beneficial interest were discussed.

A statement on FIRS’s official Facebook page confirmed that “The purpose of the meeting was to build and strengthen the collaborative relationship between both agencies that will yield results and reflect positively on the economy.”

The FIRS is also working to address challenges such as multiple tax collections by various government agencies, which can lead to revenue leakages.
