Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed Mr Sani Musa Daura – a Director due for retirement as his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Protocol Matters.
Daura is the current Director of Protocol in the FCT and is prepared to retire after 30 years as a senior civil servant under the administration.
Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister Lere Olayinka, in a statement on Wednesday said
Wike described Daura as “a seasoned civil servant with over 30 years of experience in the FCTA Protocol Department.”
The statement also described Daura as a seasoned civil servant with over 30 years’ experience in the FCTA Protocol Department.
The statement said Daura, who became Director of FCT Protocol in 2019, is expected to retire from the civil service on January 24, 2026.
According to the Minister’s aide, the appointment takes effect from the date of his retirement.
Daura, whose expertise ensures smooth transitions in protocol operations for the FCT Minister’s office, has a long tenure in the position, which highlights a commitment to efficient administration in the territory.
