“Let me sincerely thank you for what you are doing in Abuja, your own contribution to the development of the city. It is very gladdening to hear that you have built the biggest water park. Like you said, it is the biggest in West Africa with the latest technology. That of course will create many commercial and economic activities that of course will generate employment, Wike added.

The Minister who also noted the desire of the Nadeem Group of Companies to be involved in other construction projects in the FCT, urged the company to ensure the prompt payment of its taxes. He said the government will not be able to construct roads and public buildings without the payment of taxes.

He said, “While I praise you for investing, I also encourage you to make sure that you pay your taxes because that is what drives government. Abuja is not like other states where they get money from the Federation Account. We are only relying on taxes”

Wike also assured that the FCT was safe for investors to come and invest, adding that security and job creation were among the top priorities of the FCT Administration, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

“Our own is to make sure that we produce a conducive environment for investors to come in. We are happy that the members of your subsidiary companies have also shown interest in other areas like construction.

“One of the priorities of this administration of His Excellency the President is to make sure that jobs are created for our youths, to make sure that we have security.

“Of course, you can attest to the fact that in terms of security now in Abuja, the security agencies have done quite well in making sure that investors are not afraid of putting their resources. Of course, nobody puts his resources in a place that is not safe,” the minister said.

Leader of delegation, Nadeem Group, Mr. George Tolofari said the company was proud to be part of the development of the FCT and expressed the readiness of the company to be engaged in other construction projects in the FCT.

He explained that the Sunrise Water Park in Abuja is the biggest water Park in West Africa, adding that there would also be other investments around the Water Park.

“This is a mrademark. People will be coming to Nigeria and say, yes we are going to Abuja to see the Sunrise Water Park. It’s like Disney Land,” he stressed.

In his remarks, the Executive Director, NADEEM Group, Mr Jack Farah said that the courtesy visit was to inform the FCT Minister about the Sunrise Water Park, which is the company’s biggest investments in the FCT.

He said, “The reason we are here is because of the Water Park we are showcasing. We know that you are an investor friendly Minister and you have helped us in one way or the other”.

Present at the visit was the General Counsel, Barr. Salman Dako, the Secretary, Economic Planning, Revenue Generation and PPP, Hon. Chinedu Elechi, the Director, Department of Development Control, Tpl Muktar Galadima, FCT Land Deeds Registrar, Esv. Umar Sayyadi and the SSA on Land to the Honourable Minister, Sir Micheal Chinda.
