Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has declared that the reforms being carried out by the President Bola Tinubu administration were not a mere shift in policy actions but a fundamental realignment in positive and efficient governance.

The Governor stated this when he addressed a high-level sideline meeting at the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, United States of America.

The discussion he explained centered on the theme “Global Partnerships, Local Prosperity: Unlocking Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Blueprint for Sustainable Growth.”

Governor Sani explained that while at the UNGA meeting, he articulated the bold and transformative reforms championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“These reforms are not merely policy shifts; they represent a fundamental realignment of governance, aimed at restoring public trust, reinvigorating investor confidence, and positioning Nigeria on a sustainable growth trajectory.”

NewsQuest reports that President Tinubu’s economic reforms have dramatically reshaped the country’s economy, a development, which experts agree is delivering both stabilization and hardship in the process – primary measures being the removal of fuel subsidies, unifying the exchange rate, and tightening monetary policies.

Governor Sani confirmed on his official Facebook page that “Key among these measures are the strategic removal of the fuel subsidy, the unification of exchange rates, comprehensive institutional reforms, and revitalized diplomatic engagement, all of which are beginning to yield measurable progress.

He disclosed that “I shared Kaduna State’s narrative as a microcosm of this national resurgence.

“Our state, once burdened by security challenges that hindered development, has made significant strides through a balanced approach of kinetic operations and community-centered non-kinetic strategies.

“This progress was recently acknowledged by the UK Government’s upgrade of Kaduna’s travel advisory from “Red” to “Amber,” reflecting improved security conditions, he added.

The Governor noted that beyond security, Kaduna is advancing transformation through strategic initiatives such as the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ), targeted investments in human capital, digital modernization, and a governance ethos rooted in transparency and inclusivity.

“While the determination within Nigeria is crucial, I underscored the indispensable role of global partnerships in unlocking our collective potential. Kaduna State stands prepared and eager to collaborate with multilateral institutions, development partners, private investors, and the diaspora, working together to co-create scalable solutions that foster shared prosperity.

“I concluded by saluting President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s renaissance and reaffirmed Kaduna State’s resolve to sustain this momentum, building a future grounded in peace, dignity, and opportunity for all,” Governor Sani said.
