President Bola Tinubu has reshuffled his schedule, postponing a planned trip to Ogun State to launch operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport and instead beginning a four-state tour in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.

The change comes after recent armed group attacks in Plateau that killed several civilians.

A statement by the Special Adviser on Media and Strategy Bayo Onanuga to President said Tinubu will visit Plateau on Thursday to console state officials and residents.

According to the statement, from Jos, the President heads to Lagos for Good Friday observances.

On Saturday, the President will proceed to Ogun State to commission the cargo airport and inaugurate two commercial aircraft designed to enhance the state’s export-import capabilities and spur economic growth.

He will also dedicate a new facility and vehicles for the Federal Operations Unit of the Nigerian Customs Service.

President Tinubu will return to Lagos for Easter, where he plans to inaugurate key infrastructure projects under Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.

These include the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, a Multi-Agency Complex named for the president, and a school complex.

The tour wraps up April 10 in Bayelsa State, where President Tinubu will commission projects completed by Governor Douye Diri before returning to Abuja.
