President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday hailed his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Special Duties, Tunde Rahman for his “unwavering loyalty and dedication” in a birthday message marking his 60th birthday.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu highlighted Rahman’s longtime service as former media adviser and current senior aide.

He credited Tunde with strong leadership and an exceptional work ethic, particularly during the lead-up to last year’s presidential election, when Tunde served as a key political liaison and media strategist.

A veteran journalist and newspaper editor, Tunde brought professionalism to his roles, using his skills to advance public good and social justice, President Tinubu said.

“I especially celebrate Tunde Rahman for his outstanding qualities on the celebration of his 60th birthday,” the President noted.

“He is a dedicated, humble, and extraordinarily loyal personal aide who serves with utmost dedication. I appreciate his contributions to our progressive ideals and promotion of good governance in our country.

“Tunde is a steadfast and reliable personal aide whose advice and suggestions are sincere and free of any hidden agenda,” the statement added.

President Tinubu wished Rahman good health, greater wisdom, and continued service to Nigeria and humanity on this “diamond birthday.”

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, and a Master of Science Degree in Communication Studies. He also attended a course at the Lagos Business School.

Tunde, who is a key member of President Tinubu’s presidential communication team began his journalism career in 1989 as Political Correspondent of Lagos Horizon, a community newspaper, and later moved to the old Daily Times where he rose to the position of Political Editor.
