Former governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Benue State, Hanmation Mark has commended President Bola Tinubu and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tajudeen Abbas for his nomination and appointment as member of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), representing the North Central region.

In a post on his Facebook page, Hammation said everything that happens to mankind has its own time.

Quoting from the scriptures, he said, “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen” Isaiah 60:22.

“I am deeply honored and grateful for my appointment as a member representing North Central at the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria H.E Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.”

He continued “My nomination and subsequent appointment by the esteemed Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas PhD, GCON. is a testament to his confidence in my ability to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of legislative service and national development. I sincerely appreciate this great privilege and responsibility.”

Hammation contested in the 2023 Benue State gubernatorial election, which took place on March 18, 2023, hoping to defeat the then-incumbent Governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Samuel Ortom.

The Benue-born politician, promised to serve in his new assignment with dedication, integrity, and commitment to the principles of excellence and efficiency.

Hammation assured that he will serve with such virtues imbibed in him by ‘my Father’, the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF),  Senator George Akume.

He therefore, thanked Speaker Abbas for this trust and opportunity given to him as he looks forward to making a positive impact in this new role.

Hammation who currently serves as SA to Speaker Abbas on political matters has gained recognition for his humanitarian efforts and political ambitions as well as philanthropic work, which include various community development projects aimed at addressing social issues in the region.
