According to Agande, both appointees bring deep religious and academic credentials.

Archbishop Ndagoso, Metropolitan of Kaduna since 2007 after earlier leading Maiduguri Diocese, studied philosophy and theology at the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas in Rome. Ordained in 1986, he is a seasoned church figure.

Bishop Echema, born in 1958, holds a doctorate in theology from the Philosophisch-Theologische Hochschule Sankt Georgen in Frankfurt.

The statement said, as a professor of liturgy at the Catholic Institute of West Africa in Port Harcourt, his work features prominently in African theology journals.

Professor (Rev. Fr.) Hyacinth Ichoku, Veritas University’s Vice-Chancellor, has welcomed the appointments and pledged full cooperation to advance the institution’s founding vision.
