Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State inspected ongoing hostel construction at the Benue University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (BUAST) in Ihugh and approved sponsorship for 2026 JAMB UTME registration for 400 pre-degree/remedial students.
The Governor expressed satisfaction with the construction progress during his visit.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to quality education as a driver of state development, particularly in agriculture and entrepreneurship.

Governor Alia highlighted the recent launch of the Building Rights to Access and Compulsory Education for Un-enrolled Pupils (BRACE-UP) project on February 21, 2026.
A statement by the Technical Adviser on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communications Solomon Iorpev said the programme mobilizes communities to enroll out-of-school children, track progress, and ensure retention through quality basic education.
