The White House has warned Iran that if it does not accept defeat, Donald Trump will “ensure they are hit harder than ever before”.

Iran earlier dismissed a peace plan proposed by the US, calling the demands “excessive”.

US earlier sent a 15-point plan to end the war to Iran, reportedly including demands for a rollback of Iran’s nuclear programme and access for shipping through the Strait of Hormuz;

Iran called the US demands “excessive”and said it would end the war “when it decides to”, according to state media, with an official saying the proposal is “not positive.”
