Tinubu pledges support for Niger Delta region

President, Bola Tinubu has expressed support for a comprehensive execution of projects and programmes that will facilitate sustainable development of the Niger Delta and improve the lives of the people in the region. 

Special Assistant to the Minister of Niger Delta Development, Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah in a statement on Sunday said, the President gave the pledge after a crucial meeting with the Minister of Niger Delta Development, Abubakar Momoh at the Presidential Villa. 

He said that the Minister gave a comprehensive update on the ongoing activities and initiatives within the Niger Delta Development Ministry to the President and also seeking for support and commitment from the President in the development of the Niger Delta region of the country.

“During the meeting, Momoh highlighted major projects and initiatives undertaken by the Niger Delta Development Ministry to improve the socio-economic landscape of the region.

He also presented a detailed overview of ongoing infrastructure projects, community development programs, and efforts to address environmental concerns in the Niger Delta.

Ikirodah further stated that the Nigerian Leader expressed interest and lauded the efforts of the Minister in changing the narratives in the Niger Delta Region of the country.

He added that the Niger Delta Development Ministry would leverage the commitments from President Tinubu to further advance its mission of fostering holistic development, infrastructure enhancement, and community empowerment in the Niger Delta region.
