Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State who doubles as Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), on Tuesday said that the group will inaugurate a Diaspora Arise platform and appoint youth coordinators in Toronto next month.

The move is part of efforts to broaden support for President Bola Tinubu’s agenda ahead of the 2027 election.

A statement by Mustapha Abdullahi, RHA Director of youth and Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, said the inauguration will take place on 10th August at the Ontario Investment and Trade Centre.

The event will formally establish the RHA’s Canada directorate and install a network of Diaspora Youth Directorate coordinators, the statement said.

Uzodimma described the move as a response to “growing global support” for the Renewed Hope Agenda, and said it reflects “the commitment of Nigerians abroad to national development and massive support for President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.”

The statement also described the diaspora programme as a vehicle for mobilising youth toward leadership, civic engagement and economic transformation.

The RHA plans to equip coordinators with digital mobilisation tools—personalised recruitment codes, QR-enabled registration links, and performance-monitoring dashboards—aimed at rapid membership growth.

The statement set an initial metric: each coordinator is expected to recruit at least 50 verified members within 30 days of taking office.

Abdullahi also said that the initiative aligns with President Tinubu’s stated priority of harnessing national human capital for development and will tap into the professional networks of Nigerians abroad who are prominent in technology, medicine, business and academia.

NewsQuest reports that the inauguration is a sign of RHA’s expanding reach and a bid to build a global network supporting “good governance, youth empowerment, national unity and economic growth.”

RHA coordinators have commended Nigerian youth at home and abroad for what they called “unwavering support” for the Tinubu administration and urged continued unity and focus on national development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
