A refined wave is now stirring the political landscape of Ondo State, awakening the populace and indicating a significant shift from traditional political practises to a performance-driven approach. This marks the entry of an illustrious son of Akure land and immediate past Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, into the State’s political arena, specifically vying to become the Senator representing the Ondo Central Senatorial District.
A careful review of his personality shows he is an amiable personality who strategically prioritises governmental and human driven goals in order to achieve expected and holistic results, rather than embracing accolades, praises and cheap media patronage. Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti from a young age and young medical personnel has contributed immensely to communal and societal development.
He provided free medical services to the people of Ondo State through pro bono services he offered at the State Specialist Hospital, Akure – a service that enabled the people to access health services equivalent to world class standard.
This has therefore enhanced his relationship and interaction with all sectors of the society, as his human driven passion has progressively unveiled itself.
Investigation also revealed that the former Chief Scribe of Ondo State was able to unite the people, promote healthy living, and make life more meaningful for the people through these impactful and laudable activities.
Not only the above, Dr. Fasoranti for several years carried out HIV Surveillance Prevention programmes both in the United States of America and Ondo State. For the love he has for his people, he facilitated HIV prevention aids from diaspora and has been providing assistance in treating and curtailing the virus among high risk populations.
No wonder he was globally recognised for his active involvement in treatment and management of HIV cases.
The widespread call for his candidacy across Ondo Central is therefore a direct reflection of his transformative work in healthcare. By combining a people-first approach with a reputation for honesty, he offers more than just representation; but a future of progress and impactful governance for every constituent.
Worthy of mention is the role of Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti at providing medical care for the out-of-reach and rural communities in Nigeria and beyond through the Medical Initiative For Africa (MIFA). Through this Initiative, Dr. Fasoranti and team have provided free health care to underprivileged and medically underserved communities by providing drugs and medical services to ensure they have access to healthcare.
During his brief service as the Chairman, Ondo State Hospitals’ Management Board (HMB), Dr. Fasoranti revitalised the monitoring arm of the Board and ensured health professionals prioritised their services to the people. He exemplified true leadership qualities by leading Board Members to health facilities across the State to access the state of affairs and ensured they are actively providing services to the people.
Whilst doing this, he also ensured availability of drugs in these hospitals, and workers unfettered access to training and re-training. Meanwhile, his introduction of staff auditing in various health facilities across the local governments in the State facilitated recruitment and engagement of more health workers in the State.
Driven by a legacy of healthcare excellence, unwavering integrity, team playing spirit and sportsmanship, this candidate is the clear choice for Ondo Central Senatorial District.
