According to him, “Kaduna State remains committed to partnering with ICAN to drive reforms, enhance capacity, and strengthen financial governance.

“It was a privilege to welcome the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Dr. Haruna N. Yahaya, FCA, and his delegation on a courtesy visit.

“As a respected body, ICAN has championed ethics, professionalism, and accountability in Nigeria’s financial sector, producing thousands of Chartered Accountants who contribute significantly at home and abroad,” Governor Sani said.

The Kaduna State Governor explained that his administration has prioritized transparency and good governance through reforms such as joining the Open Government Partnership (OGP), the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative (CoST), adopting IPSAS, and signing the Kaduna Mutual Accountability Framework (KaMAF) with the UK’s FCDO.

He noted that these initiatives reflect our commitment to openness, accountability, and sustainable development.

“To build institutional capacity, we partnered with ICAN to train over 100 state accountants in Public Financial Management. We are now set to launch a senior-level training programme this September to deepen technical skills and promote professional excellence in governance,” Governor Sani added.
