Buhari’s govt, Nigeria’s most incompetent – Adoke

The immediate past government of former President Muhammadu Buhari has been described as the most incompetent in the history of Nigeria, having managed an economy which per capital income of citizens fell drastically low with inflation rate skyrocketing to 24 percent.

Former minister of justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Mohammed Adoke, said that the last administration was also run by very incompetent set of political ‘morons’.

“The immediate past government is the most incompetent government we have ever seen in this country, run by a very incompetent President that this country has ever had, and we will never have again. It was run by a set of political morons,” he said in a recent interview.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) under the Buhari administration at various times prosecuted Adoke for alleged money laundering and other charges in relation to an OPL 245 deal, allegations which the former Attorney General dismissed as an attempt to defame him.

A commercial court of England and Wales ruled in June 2022 indeed, that there was no evidence of fraud in the OPL 245 transaction, freeing the former Justice minister from further prosecution.

Adoke in the recent interview disclosed that the set of politicians in the Buhari’s government have no moral justification to accuse a person of his standing of corruption.

“So, if those are the people accusing us of corruption, then, you better ask the question, how? Let us see what will come out of the Emefiele’s investigation, let us see what will come out of the others being investigated. Let us see what will come out of the Air Nigeria saga, some of the Paris club saga and so many other sagas that have been there,” the former minister added.
