The Permanent Secretary of the State House, Mr. Temitope Fashedemi has urged staff to foster a culture of excellence and professionalism, positioning the agency as a benchmark for Nigeria’s public sector.
Speaking through Mrs. Adenike Akintola, Director of Internal Audit at the 2025 State House Ministerial Rewards and Recognition Ceremony, Fashedemi praised attendees’ dedication.
“Today’s ceremony is about recognising individuals whose hard work and dedication have contributed significantly to the success of the State House and public service,” he said.
Excellence, he added, is “not merely a goal” but a responsibility, with every decision carrying direct consequences for governance.
Fashedemi congratulated seven awardees from 15 departments, calling them role models, and thanked organizers including the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
Recipients, honored with plaques, commendation letters, and cash prizes, included Dr. Agbor Ebuta of the State House Medical Centre for saving a six-month-old baby; driver Mr. Isah Mohammed and Mr. Gabriel Jagaban from the transport and permanent secretary’s office, respectively; the ICT Department for innovation; the Squash Team for success at the Federal Public Service Games; Mr. Akanu Oluwagbenga of the Pension Unit for reforms; and dental surgeon Dr. Seidu Bello for humanitarian work.
