The Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Dr. Zacch Adedeji on Friday met in Abuja with the leadership of Citibank Nigeria for crucial talks of partnership that would facilitate tax compliance and financial sector collaboration.

The bank was led to the headquarters of the FIRS by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Nneka Enwereji.

FIRS in a statement on its Facebook page said, “They discussed deepening partnerships to enhance tax compliance, financial sector synergy, and economic development.”

The country’s top tax agency under the leadership of Dr. Adedeji has actively been promoting tax compliance in Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and voluntary compliance, as well as highlighting its desire to create a customer-centric tax administration system.
