The Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), has approved the naming of a prominent street in Abuja after Thomas Onyisi Odozi, a church planter, Superior Evangelist, member, Pastor in Council (MPIC) and member, Board of Trustees (MBOT) of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.

The approval for the street naming is contained in a memo signed by Peter Ijwo, the Director of Operations, street naming and house numbering office of AMAC dated 18th April 2023.

The memo reads, “We are pleased to inform you that you have been unanimously endorsed amongst eminent Nigerian leaders and public servants for the distinct honour of being immortalised by naming a street (in your name) within the Abuja Municipality, Federal Capital Teritory, Abuja.

“Your nomination was purely based on personal merit, hence in recognition of your outstanding contributions and commitment to the society and the national economy. Undoubtedly, FCT Abuja remains the epitome of our continuous corporate existence.

“The intent behind the naming of street after achievers is to memorialize their effort and to promote awareness of the individual and express appreciation for their special contributions to the nation.”

Odozi served as the Senior Technical Adviser to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and supervised the management of the Nigerian Security Prining & Mintung PLC.

He has been congratulated by this development, by His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, the Board of Trustees (BOT), the Pastor in Council (P.I.C.) and  the entire membership of C.C.C.
