Governor of Kaduna State Uba Sani on Tuesday said the 2027 presidential election was effectively settled, predicting that President Bola Tinubu will capture at least 95 percent of votes from the North.
Speaking at the inauguration of a 122‑kilometre road linking Kaduna and Birnin Gwari, Governor Sani described the endorsement as a response to what he called sustained federal investment in the State.
He pointed to a slate of national projects, including work on a Western Bypass and a planned restart of construction on an Eastern Bypass, as evidence of Kaduna’s elevated status under President Tinubu’s administration.
“We have to be happy with what he has done for us,” Sani told supporters.
“Kaduna is the capital of Northern Nigeria. Kaduna’s development is a development for all the states of Northern Nigeria.”
The Governor said conversations with the Federal Government had secured a near‑term resumption of the Eastern Bypass, and he credited the President for prioritizing infrastructure in the region.
“We will continue to support the president,” Governor Sani noted.
“I have no doubt in my mind that the 2027 election has been concluded, and we are giving President Tinubu at least 95 percent of the total votes.”
Governor Sani also argued that President Tinubu’s administration had delivered more to northern Nigeria than predecessors, inviting critics to point to counter examples.
“Why was it that other leaders were not doing what Tinubu is doing today for Northern Nigeria?” he asked.
“Was it that Northern Nigeria was not a priority?”

Tuesday’s flag‑off event highlighted the federal government’s role in state projects, a recurring theme in MSani’s remarks.
He named the Western Bypass link from the Abuja junction to Kawo Motor Park as ongoing federal work and said the Minister had affirmed timelines for the Eastern Bypass’s recommencement.
