Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has urged voters across the North‑West to back President Bola Tinubu’s bid for re‑election in 2027, saying the region had been a principal beneficiary of the president’s economic and social programs.

Speaking at the inauguration of coordinators and members of the “Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria” support group for the seven North‑West states, Governor Sani speaking through his Special Adviser on politics, Abubakar Mamadi — said the Federal Government had delivered targeted interventions in agriculture, education, youth empowerment and women’s programmes across the region.

“No region has benefited under Tinubu’s administration like the North, particularly the seven states in the North‑West region,” Mr. Mamadi quoted the governor as saying.

He urged members of the newly formed group to spread information about federal programmes to grassroots communities in Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa, Sokoto and Zamfara, and to mobilize voters ahead of next year’s presidential contest.

NewsQuest reports that the inauguration marked the start of a broader campaign to consolidate support for President Tinubu across largely rural swathes of the region.

Mike Auta, the group’s convener, called on members to expand outreach beyond urban centers, urging activists to “go to all nooks and crannies of the states” to secure votes.

Women’s leaders at the event highlighted cash transfers and empowerment initiatives rolled out under the president. Karima Abdullai, the group’s women leader, said northern women had benefited from the programs and urged them to back President Tinubu’s re‑election.

Farida Bala, Director of town‑hall engagement and special duties, appealed for public patience with the administration’s reforms, likening the government’s work to renovating a neglected house that requires time before improvements are visible.

The public drive in the North‑West underscores a broader effort by the presidency to shore up regional support in the run‑up to the 2027 election, as voters across Nigeria assess the progress of reforms amid economic pressures and a contested political landscape.
