Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar has launched an online platform that allows Nigerians to question him directly about his political record, policy proposals and plans for the country ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The platform, Ask AA, went live at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026. It is free to access and enables users to submit questions on issues including the economy, security, technology, job creation and measures to reduce the cost of living.
Atikuโs campaign said he would respond personally to selected questions, with support from his media team.
The ADCย presidential candidate described the initiative as an effort to narrow the distance between politicians and voters.
The portal is designed to give citizens a route to examine his positions and proposals without relying solely on campaign intermediaries.
โThe objective of this initiative is to bring Atiku Abubakar closer to the electorate through a practical, problem-solving platform,โ Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council said in a statement.
The campaign also said it intends to extend access to communities with limited internet connectivity through a radio interface, though it did not provide details on how that service would operate.
Atiku has also described leadership as โa two-way conversationโ and said the platform was intended to promote transparency, accountability and dialogue.
He invited Nigerians to challenge his economic record, scrutinise his proposals on technology, security and employment, and offer policy recommendations.
He also said he would personally call some citizens who leave contact details, to hear directly about their experiences and the issues affecting their daily lives.
โA transparent, technology-driven government is not a promise for tomorrow. It begins with how we listen to you today,โ Atiku said.
The launch appeared to generate immediate interest. Atiku said the portal received more than 1,000 questions within 30 minutes, submitted in English, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.
The platform includes options to submit questions and ideas, search previously answered queries and select a preferred language.
NewsQuest reports that for a campaign seeking to distinguish itself in a crowded 2027 field, Ask AA represents both a voter-outreach tool and a political wager: that direct scrutiny of Atikuโs record and agenda will reinforce, rather than complicate, his case for the presidency.
