The Minister since assumption of office has embarked on major intervenists projects in the territory including resurfacing of roads and flyovers.

Some of the sites visited by the Minister include the Guzape Lot 2, the Guzape Diplomatic area, and the full scope development of the Arterial Road N20, from Northern Parkway (Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Expressway) to Outer Northern Expressway (Murtala Mohammed Expressway).

Wike during the visits on Monday expressed his satisfaction with the quality and pace of work on the roads as he was assured of their completion by May of 2024.

According to the Minister, “The visit is to go round to see the commitments made by the various contractors, whether they are going to fulfill the promises they have made.

“On Saturday, we also had this kind of inspection. Today, we went to Guzape and then we also went to the Diplomatic Area.

“And now we are in N20. I can tell you the last time I came here, the work was not up to this extent and I’m very much impressed with what I’ve seen, which shows that Gilmor will hand over this project to us and then we hand it over to the public”.

The FCT Minister was accompanied on the visit by former Senator representing the FCT, Senator Phillip Aduda and other senior officials of the FCT Administration, including the Executive Secretary FCDA, Engr. Shehu Hadi Ahmad, amongst others.
