President Bola Tinubu’s Political Adviser Ibrahim Kabir Masari on Saturday joined in the launch of Kaduna State’s programme to distribute fertilizers and tractors to 150,000 farmers.
The event, hosted by Kaduna Governor Uba Sani, brought together senior federal and state government officials, including the Minister of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Muttaka Rabe Darma, members of the National Assembly, traditional rulers, representatives of farmers’ groups; development partners, and other dignitaries.
Masari in a post on his official Facebook page said the Kaduna Free Fertilizer and Tractor Distribution Programme aims to expand access to essential inputs and mechanized equipment across the state, officials said, with the stated goals of boosting agricultural productivity, improving food security and raising rural incomes.
Masari praised Governor Uba Sani’s initiative as a “timely and practical” investment in agriculture, saying broader access to inputs and modern machinery would help increase production and support sustainable economic development.
He said Governor Sani described the programme as part of his administration’s strategy to make agriculture a driver of economic growth and rural transformation in Kaduna.
The presidential aide urged beneficiaries to use the fertiliser and tractors prudently to maximise yields and contribute to the state’s agricultural turnaround.
