Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti has declared that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s successful conduct of the local government election in the state is a clear demonstration of his deep love for democracy, which remains a key pillar for growth and economic development.
Ondo state held local government elections on January 18, 2025, across its 18 local government areas with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) winning 16 of the 18 chairmanship seats.

Dr. Fasoranti explained that with elected chairmen and councilors, now in place, there would be massive development in all the 18 council areas compared to when caretakers were in charge.
While praising the Ondo State Independence Electoral Commission and security forces for the peaceful exercise, the former Director at the State House Aso Rock Villa, praised residents of the state for trooping out enmass to exercise their franchise.
Dr. Fasoranti assured them that Governor Aiyedatiwa would continue to prioritize the welfare of Ondo people in his quest to develop the state through massive infrastructural projects and other critical interventions to improve lives.
He urged the newly elected chairmen and councilors to key into the developmental plans of the Governor, stressing that all hands must be on deck to transform Ondo state.
Dr. Fasoranti said, “Truly Mr Governor has good plans for our dear state and for all these plans to come to fruition. Mr. Governor needs our prayers, support, and cooperation at all times and it’s expedient that we do our part”.
The HMB boss noted that with the election of chairmen and councillors, this will enable people of the grass root to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
