The French Development Agency (AFD) on Monday met with the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action to discuss areas of partnership at an event commemorating 15 years of activity in Nigeria.
In a statement made available to reporters, the special envoy Ajuri Ngelale who was joined by the Minister of Budget and National Planning Atiku Bagudu said the AFD remains a valued partner in the rollout of our actionable plans to create wealth and prosperity for people as the central focus of the country’s green industrial and emission mitigation efforts.
He said; “This morning, we honoured the invitation of the French Development Agency (AFD) and addressed the gathering at an event commemorating 15 years of activity in Nigeria. The AFD is a valued partner in the rollout of our actionable plans to create wealth and prosperity for our people as the central focus of our green industrial and emission mitigation efforts.
“We are determined to ensure that our cherished partners, such as the AFD, are supported by Nigerian institutions that are credible and function according to world-leading standards of transparency and efficiency.*
According to Ajuri, the asset of trust generates great opportunity for all.

President Bola Tinubu in May this year established a 25-person committee chaired by himself while his spokesman serves as also Secretary to oversee the country’s green economic initiatives.
