ICAN decorates FIRS boss Adedeji as distinguished grand patron

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), on Wednesday, honoured the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Dr. Zacch Adedeji as distinguished grand patron in recognition of his performance.

FIRS in a message on its Facebook page said the President of ICAN, Chief Davidson C.S. Alaribe, and members of the institute’s Council visited the tax agency’s headquarters in Abuja where they performed the ceremony.

The ICAN President acknowledged the FIRS’s continuous support for the institute and expressed appreciation for FIRS’s contribution to the accounting profession.

In remarks, Dr. Adedeji thanked Chief Alaribe and his team for the courtesy visit, reaffirming the FIRS’s commitment to sustain collaboration with ICAN in advancing the accounting and tax administration landscape in Nigeria.

Since assumption of duty as chairman of the nation’s top tax agency, Dr. Adedeji has been pivotal in implementing significant reforms aimed at transforming Nigeria’s tax system with his leadership focused on enhancing efficiency, transparency, and compliance within the tax administration system.
