FIRS is restructuring to serve customers better – Chairman Adedeji

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) says that it is currently restricturing to reposition itself and serve it’s numerous local and international customers better.

Executive Chairman of the FIRS, Dr. Zacch Adedeji disclosed this when he met alongside his management team with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTN, Karl Toriola in Abuja. 

He said, “the FIRS is going through transformative restructuring which started on February 1st, 2024. The restructuring was done to provide a platform that will serve taxpayers well.”

The purpose of the courtesy visit was to continue the fruitful relationship between MTN as a large taxpayer and the FIRS.

Dr. Adedeji used the occasion and admonished MTN to support the FIRS with data that will enhance tax collection within the parameters of data security. 

He concluded that the relationship between MTN and FIRS is a symbiotic one because the existence of one determines the existence of the other.
