The Federal Government has launched a Delivery Tracker App for every Nigerian to monitor the performance of ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) and officials, using key performance indicators (KPIs) and set deliverables.
The government said the areas citizens can monitor and report the officials are the eight priority areas of President Bola Tinubu’s agenda for boosting the economy and improving lives. They include economy, education, health, energy and natural resources, infrastructure, and education, among others.
Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination who doubles as Head of Policy Coordination and Delivery Unit (CDCU), Hadiza Bala-Usman, launched the App in Abuja.

She said the launch of the tracker was a promise made by President Tinubu to ensure inclusive governance in his administration by allowing citizens to access and give feedback to the government.
“All ministers would be held accountable for deliverables to the citizens… In arriving at the deliverables and key performance indicators, the CDCU, supported by development partners and consultants, held numerous bilateral meetings with all the ministers, permanent secretaries, and their respective technical teams over six weeks.
The bilateral sessions looked at the mandate of the respective ministries in line with the Presidential Priority Areas and arrived at the final deliverable and KPIs.
“For the record, the Presidential Priority Areas are: Reforming the economy to deliver sustained and inclusive growth; Strengthening national security for peace and prosperity; Boosting agriculture to achieve food security; Unlocking energy and natural resources for sustainable development;
“Enhancing infrastructure and transportation as enablers for growth; Focusing on education, health, and social investment as essential pillars of development as well as accelerating diversification through industrialization, digitization, creative arts, manufacturing, and innovation and Improving governance for effective service delivery.
“For each of these priority areas, we agreed on specific deliverables and developed KPIs which formed the basis for the Performance Bond which all ministers and permanent secretaries signed with the president in November 2023. These parameters will guide the Quarterly Assessments and Annual Scorecards, which the CDCU is mandated to present to the president.
“The president also insisted that the pain points of citizens must be recognized in developing the deliverables and KPIs. In line with the directive, the CDCD worked with our partners to further review the deliverables into granular issues that have a direct impact on the lives of Nigerians, Adiza added.
The Special Adviser to the president on Policy and Coordination, Nasiru Yamamma, who is also the head of the CCDU, confirmed “The app is live and it’s so easy to use. The App covers the 8 priorities of the federal government. The desk officers in the ministries are using the same tools and it’s transparent, without any breakage and we can track everybody…”
The Director of Development, Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office UK, Cynthia Rowe, in her remarks earlier, noted that the tracker App and “the monitoring system is all about trust of the citizen in government.
“We commend the government for following through with the recommendation of citizen feedback in the system. There would be eyewitnesses and citizens can connect with the government and report back to the government through the feedback system, she noted.
