The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) on Saturday repaired a major water pipe that leaked along the Dutse area of Abuja that released huge volume of water causing panic among many residents.
NewsQuest correspondent gathered that the FCTA authority sent in words of commendation to the water board team for their proactive response in handling the pipe leakage.
“Special appreciation to the mgt and staff of FCT Water Board for their prompt and professional intervention yesterday,” an official who does not want to be quoted in print said.
“Numerous calls were received yesterday with videos of a major pipe burst along Dutse Makaranta,” the source said.
The FCT administration has assured residents around the affected area not to panic as the situation have been addressed. Water consumed in and around Abuja city is sourced from treated water from the Usuma dam located in Kubwa area of the nation’s capital.
