Renewed Hope Ambassadors hail Governor Oyebanji landslide victory in Ekiti election

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors on Monday congratulated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji after his decisive victory in Saturday’s Ekiti governorship election.

The nationwide civic engagement and political mobilization initiative designed to connect the grassroots populace with the policy reforms of the President Bola Tinubu’s administration ahead of 2027 presidential election, called the result a confirmation of popular support for his “Shared Prosperity” agenda.

The group in a statement by its Director of Media and Publicity Tunde Rahman also praised Chief Dayo Adeyeye, the South‑West Zonal Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority, along with the state and 16 local coordinators who helped deliver the win.

“We salute the people of Ekiti for a peaceful, transparent and well‑attended poll,” the Ambassadors said in the  statement.

The group added that the result was enabled by reforms from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that, they said, created a favorable political environment.

The statement singled out Governors who serve as officers of the Ambassadors — Imo’s Hope Uzodimma (Director‑General), Kaduna’s Uba Sani (Deputy-General) and Gombe’s Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya (Secretary) — for “relentless efforts” that aided the All Progressives Congress’ victory.

“For voters, this was an endorsement of Governor Oyebanji’s development record and alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision,” the group said.

But the Ambassadors made clear the campaign is not over: they pledged to mobilize support for the APC candidate in the Osun governorship contest set for Aug. 15 and to press the case for President Tinubu’s re‑election in January 2027.

The group said Oyebanji’s first term produced visible gains in infrastructure, agriculture, youth empowerment, health and education, and that the renewed mandate should spur accelerated action in a second term.

They urged the governor to govern inclusively and to work to unite Ekiti’s people.

“We wish Governor Oyebanji renewed strength and speed,” the statement concluded. Ekiti’s best days are ahead,” the statement added.
