President Bola Tinubu received Madagascar’s President, Michael Randrianirina, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday, as both leaders signaled interest in expanding bilateral ties.

Randrianirina arrived at the State House forecourt shortly before 3 p.m. and was met by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu.

A short reception preceded a private meeting in the president’s office.

The Madagascar leader’s visit, officials said, is intended to explore opportunities for deeper diplomatic engagement and cooperation.
