The Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Zacch Adedeji on Monday commended the Nigerian judiciary for its consistency and balanced ruling in tax-related cases.

Dr. Adedeji was a special guest at the Training Workshop for Justices of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and Judges of the Federal High Court – where he delivered a goodwill message on new tax laws.

In a statement on the FIRS’ official Facebook page, Dr. Adedeji commended the National Judicial Institute (NJI) for organizing the training, which he described as timely and relevant, as it fosters collaboration between the judiciary and tax administrators.

According to Dr. Adedeji,  the recent legislative reforms, including the Finance Acts and the Petroleum Industry Act, have transformed Nigeria’s tax landscape, introducing new compliance and enforcement dynamics.
