Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) Senator Abdulaziz Yari has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s notable achievements across key sectors will form the cornerstone of his re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections, citing infrastructure and benefits delivered to ordinary Nigerians.

Yari, a former Governor of Zamfara State, made the remarks Wednesday in Abuja after President Tinubu inaugurated the APC Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the January 16, 2027, election.

“Our campaign is going to be centred on what you have done and what you are going to do in the future,” Yari said, describing the message he intends to take to traditional rulers and religious leaders as the party begins its outreach.

Yari praised Tinubu for infrastructure spending, including rail projects, and said the president’s record had eased the campaign’s task.

“You have touched the life of an ordinary man”, he said, adding “You have been there in infrastructure, building the iron road as if the money is nothing”.

The council’s central objective, he said, is to return Tinubu to office for a second term.

“It’s no time for ego. We are all one in this business. We have only one agenda,” he said, adding that “To ensure that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu returns as President.”

He urged council members to set aside internal rivalries and work collectively, saying the assignment was a shared responsibility.

“We are going to do it all honestly with trust and, by God’s grace, we are going to deliver,” he said.

Yari also sought to frame the administration as supportive of women’s political and economic inclusion, citing the appointment of eight female ministers and women leading federal agencies.

He said the campaign would seek to convert that record into support at the ward, local-government and state levels.

The Director-General formally accepted his appointment and pledged to work with every member of the council.

“I will do my best, and I will work with each and every member of this council to ensure that the result becomes a successful one by the 16th of January 2027, inshallah,” he said.
