The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPT) Monday announced that it will deliver judgement in the case between the candidates of the two major opposition political parties against the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in March declared Tinubu winner of the election after he polled 8,794,726 votes defeating Atiku Abubakar of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 6,984,520 votes. The candidate of the Labour Party’s Peter Obi came third scoring 6,101,533 votes.

Tinubu’s rivals Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the Labour Party challenged the victory at the presidential election petition court.

Chief Registrar of the Tribunal, Umar Bangari in a statement said the tribunal will deliver judgement in the petitions on Wednesday, September 6th.
