The presidency has directed all television and radio stations, along with other electronic media outlets, to carry the address by linking to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.
The advisory is standard for major presidential broadcasts in Nigeria, ensuring uniform transmission across public and private broadcasters.
The country gained independence from Britain on October 1, 1960, making Thursday’s observance the country’s 66th anniversary as a sovereign nation.
