President Bola Tinubu on Friday ordered the suspension of three Permanent Secretaries after investigators uncovered yet another fake agency operating within the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), State House Correspondents at the Presidential Villa that the agency was operating under the name National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Project Office.
He said the discovery prompted immediate administrative action.
The suspended permanent secretaries include M.S. Danjuma, Engineer Nadungu Gagare and Richard Pheelangwah, Dr. Aliyu said.
The ICPC Chairman said that President Tinubu has directed for the immediate arrest of Prince George Buchi Nwabueze, the promoter of the fake agency.
He explained that the promoter has operated under different names including, Geroge Buchi Nwabueze was discovered to also operate under four other variations of his name ; George Nathan, George Nathan Nwabueze, Hon. George Buchi Nwabueze, Prince Geroge Buchi Nwabueze and George Nwabueze.
