Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in Sierra Leone on Sunday to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 69th Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications office of the Vice President in a statement said, Shettima was met at Lungi International Airport by Sierra Leone Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh and a Nigerian delegation that included Foreign Minister Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sola Enikanolaiye; Nigeria’s high commissioner to Sierra Leone, Ayo Luther-Ogbomode; and other diplomatic and ministerial officials.
The statement said, also in the Nigerian contingent were the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, and Nigeria’s permanent representative to ECOWAS, Olawale Emmanuel Awe.
The Vice President is scheduled to participate in the summit on July 19 at the Julius Maada Bio International Conference Centre, where regional leaders, ministers, senior officials, representatives of regional institutions and business figures are expected to debate policy measures centered on peace and security, democratic governance, trade and economic integration, infrastructure and sustainable growth across West Africa.
