Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu has congratulated First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on her 66th birthday, praising her leadership and public service as an example of compassion.
In a statement Monday, Kalu described the first lady as the “Mother of the Nation” and commended her efforts to support women, families and vulnerable Nigerians, as well as her investment in young people.
He said her initiatives had given President Bola Tinubu’s administration “a profoundly human face.”
Kalu also highlighted the First Lady’s campaign to raise funds for the renovation and completion of the National Library of Nigeria, calling the project a reflection of her long-term vision.
“A nation that invests in its libraries invests in the minds of its children,” he said.
The Deputy Speaker praised the first lady’s humility, quiet strength and graciousness in office, describing her as an inspiration to emerging leaders.
“At 66, we celebrate not only the gift of your life, but the countless lives that have been enriched by your generosity of spirit and commitment to service,” Kalu said.
He wished Senator Tinubu continued strength, good health and wisdom.
