Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu has approved a new round of postings for Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) and Public Relations Liaison Officers (PRLOs), part of an effort to tighten the force’s communications apparatus and improve the flow of verified information to the public.
The reassignments, announced by Force Public Relations Officer CSP Ani Ineidu, affect zonal commands, state commands and specialized formations.
The police said the move is intended to strengthen strategic communication, expand public access to credible information and deepen engagement with journalists and other stakeholders.
Under the changes, SP Johnson A. Doghudje becomes PPRO for Zone 5, while SP Ojedele Olanrewaju Tunji takes up the same role at Zone 11 in Osogbo.

Disu directed the newly posted officers to maintain professionalism, responsiveness and accuracy, and to ensure that verified information reaches the public promptly.
He also urged them to sustain constructive relations with journalists and citizens.
The Force said members of the public and the media should direct inquiries about police operations in their areas to the designated officers.
It Police described the reshuffle as part of a broader push toward transparency and “people-centred policing.”
