Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani on Wednesday tapped Jerry Adams, the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, as his running mate for the 2027 governorship race.
In a statement, Governor Sani praised Adams—who holds professional credentials including FCTI, FNIM and CNA—as an “accomplished public servant” and “institution builder” whose stewardship at KADIRS has bolstered the state’s fiscal capacity.
The Governor said the choice reflects his administration’s commitment to “inclusion, justice, fairness and equitable representation,” and to a vision of a united, peaceful and prosperous Kaduna where “merit, competence and character” guide leadership.
The selection signals an emphasis on fiscal management and administrative experience as central elements of the Governors re-election message.
Governor Sani’s choice also aims to broaden political appeal ahead of next year’s contest by highlighting technocratic competence and regional representation.
