The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Taiwo Oyedele, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike held a productive meeting focused on accelerating infrastructure renewal in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

The talks come as a shared commitment to finishing previously stalled projects—an effort both men said would unlock value for residents and restore public confidence in delivery.

Oyodele disclosed this on his X handle formerly twitter, saying that they mapped out steps to streamline tax administration across the FCT.

According to the Finance Minister, the aim is to eliminate overlapping levies and align collection practices with the new tax-reform statute.
