Tinubu urges Nigerians to embrace Ramadan’s lessons of compassion, patriotism after Eid-el-Fitr

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Muslims across on Eid-el-Fitr marking the end of Ramadan, and called for renewed patriotism and compassion.

Special Asviser on Information and Strategy to the President Bayo Onanuga in a statement said President Tinubu encouraged the faithful to carry forward the holy month’s teachings of piety, empathy, and unity.

“We have a lot to draw from the noble lessons of Ramadan, especially at a time like this,” the President said.

“We must continue to abide by the virtues of piety, selflessness, perseverance, kindness and compassion beyond this period.”

He urged Muslims to extend kindness to the needy regardless of faith, fostering national unity, and asked religious leaders to pray for peace and prosperity in the country.

The President’s message comes as the country continuous to grapple with economic pressures and security concerns, with the Ramadan’s end offering a moment of reflection for the large Muslim population.
