President Bola Tinubu will on Monday swear-in 45 ministers to form a cabinet that will coordinate the implementation of his government’s policies and programmes in delivering on good governance.

The event scheduled to hold at the conference center of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, will be attended by family members of the ministers’ designate who have already been assigned portfolios.

Presidency sources told NewsQuest that the ministers who are expected to resume work immediately, will thereafter, proceed on a retreat organized by the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) later in the week, where they will be coached on their respective duties by experts.

President Tinubu on July 27 forwarded a list of 28 nominees to the senate for screening and confirmation. A list of the second batch contained 19 nominees.

The senate had cleared the nominees by voice vote at the Committee of the Whole on August 7.

The confirmation of three of the nominees, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Stella Okotete (Delta State), and Abubakar Danladi (Taraba State), was kept in abeyance and are still undergoing security clearance.

The ministers are currently carrying out documentation at the SGF’s office ahead of Monday.
